Style Sprinkles: Cake

Baking can be a lot of fun, but it can also be a lot of work. Between gathering ingredients from the store, prepping, baking, and the dreaded clean-up; the process can be both rewarding and taxing. That’s why it’s nice to come across a simple recipe that still yields the same delicious results as a more time-consuming one. Feeling the need for a less challenging recipe, I readily opted for this cake batter cookies.  You know you’re in for a much needed baking vacation when you can count the ingredients of a recipe on one hand. The main ingredient of this recipe: 1 box of cake mix. The recipe was easy-peasy (a serious understatement), and the cookies were a satisfying hybrid of both cake and cookie. It’s the perfect cookie to whip up if you’re low on time, but still want to impress guests with something special (who will undoubtedly ask for the recipe).

When I made this recipe, I couldn’t help but think of the Wildfox Flower Potion Baggy Beach Jumper (in cake) that LeAnn Rimes recently wore. I was charmed by the “cake” color and in love with the chic comfort that Wildfox easily delivers. The ultra-soft  jumper is made from a washed distressed fleece and features a wreath of delicate pink flowers and the No 9 logo. It may be a jumper but it’s undeniable special style will have others inquiring where you got it.
