Fashionable Friday
Because Friday is Fashionable: Fashion’s Night Out
This Friday’s post is dedicated to the most wonderful time of the year (minus a few other noteworthy days like my birthday and Christmas). Seriously though, we’re talking Fashion’s Night Out. That wonderful fashion holiday given to us by the queen of fashion and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. It’s probably the nicest thing she’s ever done. While it started as a way to support fashion and designers during a economic slump, it’s now turned into a Christmas-meets trick-or-treating-meets Mardi Gras shopping extravaganza. And I for one get giddy just thinking about it. For the third year in a row, designers and celebrities alike will mingle with us mere mortals shoppers at exclusive FNO-events on September 8th. I totally envy New Yorkers, who happen to be at the epicenter of the night’s festivities. You can get the scoop on what’s going on in a city near you at FNO’s official website. However, if you’re in a less desirable location, fear not, you can still participate from the comfort of your home. They’ll be a lot of festivities for online shoppers to enjoy too. To get into the spirit of things, here are some of my fave FNO goodies (think of them as your Christmas pajamas). Remember, like the holidays, it’s nice to be generous. FNO will donate 40% of the proceeds from the tees and tote to the New York City AIDS fund. Tis the season, friends.
