This Friday’s post is dedicated to the most wonderful time of the year (minus a few other noteworthy days like my birthday and Christmas). Seriously though, we’re talking  Fashion’s Night Out. That wonderful fashion holiday given to us by the queen of fashion and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. It’s probably the nicest thing she’s ever done. While it started as a way to support fashion and designers during a economic slump, it’s now turned into a Christmas-meets trick-or-treating-meets Mardi Gras shopping extravaganza. And I for one get giddy just thinking about it. For the third year in a row, designers and celebrities alike will mingle with us mere mortals shoppers at exclusive FNO-events on September 8th. I totally envy New Yorkers, who happen to be at the epicenter of the night’s festivities. You can get the scoop on what’s going on in a city near you at FNO’s official website. However, if you’re in a less desirable location, fear not, you can still participate from the comfort of your home. They’ll be a lot of festivities for online shoppers to enjoy too.  To get into the spirit of things, here are some of my fave FNO goodies (think of them as your Christmas pajamas). Remember, like the holidays, it’s nice to be generous. FNO will donate 40% of the proceeds from the tees and tote to the New York City AIDS fund. Tis the season, friends.

I don’t know about you, but working out makes my top ten list of “things I’d rather not do.” Sure, once I’ve been doing it for about ten minutes I get into the swing of things, but that’s not the problem. The problem lies somewhere between the actually deciding to work out and the time before I actually do. I find that fashion can be a helpful little motivator when I’m in need of some encouragement to break a sweat. For some reason a new pair of sneakers, a cute sports bra or a tee with some encouraging words can be almost as motivating as a personal trainer. Here are a few stylish picks that would get me off the sofa to bust out some “good vibrations” with Marky Mark.

Lately it seems like I’ve been obsessing over bracelets, cuffs, and everything and anything that I could slap on my arm and pass off as jewelry. Probably because the arm party phenomenon continues to rage on – likely until the wee hours of style. Whatever the reason, I find myself, much like John Cusack, serendipitously meeting new loves. My current love? The Gemma Redux Envelopment Bangle. The 18k gold-plated bangle features a little hinged flap at the envelope, making it a fun, playful piece. Like a fortune cookie, I love the idea of stuffing little love notes inside of it.

P.S. – This style is also available as a ring.

In Florida, there are two kinds of summer days: the hot and sunny kind where you start violently sweating the moment you step outside your door or the rainy monsoon days where you need a canoe to get to your car. I like rain, particularly when I’m sleeping. I even enjoy occasional sunny afternoon showers, but the weather doesn’t always consider my preferences. While the last few days have been toasty here, the next few days promise puddles and relentless raindrops. There’s only one thing a girl can do with such a cloudy conundrum – start an uber-cute umbrella collection. Here are the rain repellers I’m currently craving:

Arm parties are super trendy these days, thanks to bitchin’ bloggers like The Man Repeller. And like any good hostess with the mostess, I’m always looking for new fashionable friends to invite. While scavenging the internet for celebrity goodies and crave-worthy things for this blog, I discovered Fallon. My eyes first met the Fallon Therapy Mood Cuff, which then introduced me to the tempting triplets: Fallon Loved ID Cuff, Fallon Adored ID Cuff, and Fallon Happy ID Cuff. The  Therapy Mood Cuff has raised words, like aloof, inspired, bored, sad, loved (and other mood adjectives) stylishly scattered all over it, while the triplets feature their reflective names (similar to the 7 dwarfs).  I like to think that the Fallon girls and I are hardcore style soul sisters (we’re talking like The Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants serious), and I desperately want to invite all of them to the VIP section of my arm party.
